Forge is committed to making the app accessible and usable by as many people as possible. This statement describes the current state of accessibility in Forge, known limitations, and how to contact us if you encounter barriers.
Forge partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The following accessibility features are currently implemented:
| Feature | Status |
|---|---|
| Dark Interface | Supported — Forge includes a full dark mode with a distinct design optimised for low-light environments, independently switchable from system appearance. |
The following accessibility features are not yet implemented. We are actively working to address them in a future update:
| Feature | Current Limitation |
|---|---|
| VoiceOver / Screen Reader | Interactive elements do not yet have full accessibility labels. Screen reader users may encounter unlabelled controls and buttons. |
| Dynamic Type | Text sizes are currently fixed and do not respond to the iOS system font size setting. Larger text preferences are not honoured. |
| Reduce Motion | Some animations — including the launch screen and loading states — do not currently respond to the iOS Reduce Motion system preference. |
We recognise these are significant gaps. Addressing VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type support, and Reduce Motion handling is planned for a future update before the end of 2026.
If you experience an accessibility barrier in Forge, please contact us. We read every message and prioritise accessibility feedback:

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may contact the relevant national enforcement body in your country. In the EU, enforcement of the European Accessibility Act is handled by each member state's designated authority.
Forge is developed by a microenterprise (fewer than 10 employees, annual turnover under €2 million). Under the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), microenterprises providing services are currently exempt from its accessibility requirements. We are voluntarily publishing this statement as a commitment to accessibility, not because we are legally required to do so at this time.
Forge is a native iOS application built with SwiftUI. Accessibility relies on Apple's UIKit and SwiftUI accessibility APIs, including accessibilityLabel, accessibilityHint, Dynamic Type font scaling, and accessibilityReduceMotion environment values.
